AC:Incubate is the only program at Accelerator Centre that gives founders exclusive access to our investment readiness training and curated investor network.
Through hands-on support, tailored coaching, and direct connections to active investors, startups gain the tools, insights, and relationships needed to confidently prepare for and pursue funding opportunities.
Eligibility
Is AC:Incubate right for you?
AC:Incubate is designed for ambitious, early-stage, tech-based startups looking to fully engage with the Accelerator Centre ecosystem and access the support, expertise, and opportunities available to help founders build and scale their business.
To participate in our programming, you must meet the following requirements:
- Canadian Incorporation: Your company must be incorporated in Ontario or federally, or you must be prepared to incorporate within 30 days of joining the program.
- Tech-Based: We work with tech-driven companies across all sectors. Whether you’re focused on AI, medtech, fintech, or another innovative field, you are welcome to apply.
- Program Participation: We’re looking for startups that are excited to take advantage of our high-touch, hands-on programming.

Frequently asked questions
1. Is there a specific application deadline for AC:Incubate?
No. AC:Incubate is the AC’s only program that accepts applications on an ongoing basis. Founders joining the program are onboarded at the start of the month.
2. Is there non-diluted funding available in this program?
No, that’s our AC:Studio program.
3. Does the AC take equity?
No, the AC doesn’t take any equity. You keep 100% ownership of your company and your IP.
4. Can AC:Incubate help with becoming investment ready?
Yes, through the AC:Incubate program, we’ve built a dedicated Investment Readiness pathway. If your company is a good fit, we’ll include this course at no extra cost. Just keep in mind — becoming “investment-ready” takes time and effort and usually takes about 4–6 months to complete.
5. Are there certain expectations of founders?
Yes. Key expectations of founders are:
- Your startup is, or will be, incorporated Federally or in Ontario
- You can spend at least 15-20 hours/week working on your startup
- You will actively engage in the program and access all available mentor hours
- You will complete the required surveys to support the AC with our government/funding reporting
6. Are there any reporting requirements for Founders accepted into AC:Incubate?
Yes. Founders are required to complete surveys as requested (at this time, survey frequency is quarterly).
