The Accelerator Centre (AC) is pleased to announce the graduation of AceAgeAHead SimulationsEXO Insights, and YOURIKA from The Accelerator Program®. As these companies complete the program, they will be joining the AC's exclusive alumni network — representing the best-of-the-best in Canadian tech companies, including ApplyBoardMiovisionAxonifyTextNowMagnet Forensics, Intellijoint Surgical, and SSIMWAVE. ‍

In addition to completing The Accelerator Program, all four of the AC’s newest graduates are a result of the world-leading incubator’s sustainability programming, the TD Sustainable Future Program. This specialized stream of the award-winning program supports entrepreneurs that are working towards solutions that impact the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program is funded, in part, by grants from the TD Ready Commitment and the Ontario Trillium Foundation

"The graduation of AceAge, AHead Simulations, EXO Insights, and YOURIKA is an exciting milestone for these incredible startups and their founders. Its also a testament to the emerging trend in sustainable entrepreneurship which the TD Sustainable Future program was designed to support,” says Program and Client Experience Director, Leanne Armstrong. “These four companies also share the admirable achievement of raising significant seed and/or series A funds while in the program and they demonstrate the important role and impact that innovators and entrepreneurs have in driving local economic growth.”

“Ranging from medical innovations to health and safety advances through AI and breakthroughs in education technology, these new AC alumni are making an impact and changing our everyday lives,” says CEO, Jay Krishnan. “We’re proud to add them to our graduate wall and to continue supporting them through our alumni network.”

From our founders:

At a formative time in our commercialization, Accelerator Centre and its mentors were influential in helping us develop our business processes and sales plans,” said John Simmons, Chief CEO of AceAge. “Learning and gaining insights from the mentor’s past experiences was extremely valuable since we didn’t have to learn as many of the hard lessons on our own.”

The Accelerator Centre was instrumental in building a strong foundation at AHead. Through their connections, mentorship, and breadth of experience, the Accelerator Centre has helped AHead through the ups and downs of being a startup and has helped cement AHead's place in its industry," said Rob Koch, CEO, AHead Simulations.

Simply put, there wouldn’t be an EXO Insights without the AC methodology. Relentless mentorship brought method to our dreams, and patiently corrected our course, quite frequently I must admit,” said Fernando, Founder and CEO. “Looking back, it astonishes me the breadth and depth of knowledge that was conveyed to us during years that, in hindsight, zipped past us.”

The unique access to a community of experts across all business functions is what separates the AC from other programs. Building a meaningful start-up is difficult, and we would not be where we are today without the unconditional, candid, and unwavering support that we have received from the AC and its mentors. We are humbled and grateful to be a graduate from this program and look forward to being a supportive alumnus," says Rob Henderson, CEO of YOURIKA.
