Yes! Accelerator Centre crew rocks G20YES

While the world's leaders gathered in November in France to determine the future of our global economy, another equally exciting G20 Summit was underway in the country. G20YES, a gathering of young entrepreneurs, was established by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and had its inaugural meeting during Toronto's G20 Summit.

Canada's thriving innovation ecosystem, and Waterloo's Accelerator Centre became a focal point of attention during the event. Canada's delegation of 35 included three entrepreneurs from Waterloo Region: Armen Bakirtzian, founder and CEO of Avenir Medical, Cedric Jeannot, CEO and founder of I Think Security, and Phil Noelting, founder and CEO of Qwalify.

Sober Steering leverages the Accelerator Program

In conjunction with its Provincial funding grant, Sober Steering took the opportunity to relocate its headquarters to Waterloo and the Accelerator Centre in the fall of 2009. The AC providing the Sober Steering team with turn-key office facilities, access to 'best of the best' expertise and mentorship, and an extensive technical and engineering talent pool.
