New money led by Intel Capital and Growthworks provides funding to accelerate growth in Cloud Data Security Solutions business

PerspecSys Inc. on Monday announced the closing of an $8M series A financing led by Intel Capital and including existing investors Growthworks and MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund.  This funding provides capital for strategic expansion of the business and to increase its technological advantage in cloud data security solutions.  The announcement took place at an event in New York City hosted by Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital, and attended by company founder and CTO Terry Woloszyn.

Snapsort tries to help you sift through a mountain of information on the issue of Rapid Transit

A Waterloo start-up has entered the region's rapid transit debate.

Snapsort, based in the Accelerator Centre, has created an "infographic" in support of a light rail system for Waterloo Region.  Company co-owner Chris Reid was one of the designers of the graphic, which is based on researching nearly two dozen different pieces of data.

Client Outlook Inc. Announces FDA 510(k) Clearance for eUnityTM Enterprise Medical Image Viewer

Client Outlook announced today that they have received their FDA 510(k) Class II Medical Device clearance to market its enterprise medical image viewer, eUnity(TM), within the US marketplace.

eUnity's(TM) clearance as a Class II Medical Image Viewer for diagnostic usage, granted on May 6, 2011, permits US-based clinicians using a calibrated monitor to use information displayed by eUnity's(TM) viewer for patient diagnosis.
