Waterloo, Ontario (April 28, 2010) - The Accelerator Centre, an award-winning and world-renowned centre for the cultivation of technology entrepreneurship is proud to announce the graduation of Karos Health. Karos marks the fourth company to successfully launch from the AC since September of 2009, and the sixth in the history of the facility.

Karos Health was founded by President Rick Stroobosscher in 2006 and joined the Accelerator Centre as a client in 2008.  The company is an emerging leader on the healthcare info highway, providing a critical platform to enable the exchange of healthcare information between healthcare institutions and healthcare providers.  Read the Karos Health's Accelerator Centre story on the AC web site.

"Our work brings us in front of the world's largest healthcare providers.  The Accelerator Centre offered us professional office space near the University of Waterloo, fantastic meeting facilities, and a wonderful support staff that allows us to focus on building our business," said Rick Stroobosscher.   "Beyond this advantage, we have been able to access a depth of expertise in technology commercialization here at the Accelerator Centre that is absolutely world-class."

"Excitement for our successful graduation track record continues to build at the Accelerator Centre and in the surrounding Waterloo Region technology community. AC clients are not just graduating. They are hiring, expanding, receiving national and international recognition for their efforts, securing financing and generally contributing to this Region's economic growth," says Tim Ellis, COO, Accelerator Centre.  "We are thrilled to launch our sixth graduate into the community and are anticipating great success for the Karos Health team."
