Is there a better month than October? Let's start at the end of the month with Hallowe'en, fun for children and adults alike. Now let's talk about sports. The NFL is in full swing, unless you're a Miami Dolphins fan like me as it seems like they forgot the season had started and haven't won a game yet. Major League Baseball has started their play-offs and the Toronto Blue Jays are well represented. By that I mean a lot of their players are now on other teams in the play-offs.  And don't forget the NHL has started. The Toronto Maple Leafs are in first place! Well technically they are tied with everyone else as they haven't played a regular season game yet, but you have to be optimistic, right?

Just when I thought October couldn't get any better, I walked into the Accelerator Centre (AC) on Monday morning and was greeted by some new art on the walls courtesy of our good friend Jacqui Murphy and her amazing stable of artists from Art Allies. For the next three months, the AC and The Communitech Hub will be adorned by the urban influenced pieces of Michele Braniff, Jennifer Depencier, John Hofstetter, and Amy Roger.

As always, the art display needs to be championed by a generous sponsor, and this quarter we give a huge thank you to Cowan Insurance Group. Their sponsorship allows us to give the artists payment for their exhibition and then gives the AC and The Hub the wonderful opportunity to purchase pieces of the artwork that will forever be hung in our buildings.
