DossierView and Tyromer close $750K financing rounds

Good companies with great technology get funding.  Two AC Clients, DossierView and Tyromer, are a case in point.  Even in this rough economy, both companies have announced that they have secured financing with First Leaside Visions II Limited Partnership.

For DossierView, the announcement follows on the heels of another funding round with Golden Triangle Angelnet announced by the company on December 15, 2009.  DossierView leverages technology developed by Dr. Andrew Wong, a founder of the PAMI (Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence) Lab at the University of Waterloo, to create the next generation of PAMI technologies.  DossierView's intelligent search technology promises to offer corporate and consumer users faster access to the most relevant information located on a desktop or on the Web.

"We're incredibly excited about this financing round, which allows DossierView to further expand our development efforts. Our intelligent pattern analysis forms the foundation for Internet and Enterprise search technologies that make searching for information predictive and social.  This is an important day for DossierView, and sends a positive message to technology entrepreneurs, who are actively seeking to commercialize and bring new technology offerings to the market," says Stephen Bacso, CEO, DossierView.

A University of Waterloo spin-off, Tyromer targets the significant and growing environmental issue of scrap tire reuse.   The Company employs an environmentally friendly, energy efficient process to convert scrap tires into a new, quality recycled tire-derived polymer product called tyromer™.  Used as a replacement for synthetic rubber, tyromer™ offers a reduction in the use of non-renewable petroleum-based resources. Most significantly, tyromer™ can be used for re-treading tires to provide manufacturers with an ideal product life cycle management solution.

"Successful commercialization of this technology will provide global scrap tire management agencies with an environmentally and financially responsible way to deal with scrap tires, and to recover over 1 billion lb of petrochemical based synthetic rubber from scrap tires.  This investment allows us to accelerate our development efforts, build our pilot plant and deliver tyromer™ to our customers," says Sam Visaisouk, Acting CEO, Tyromer Inc.

Join us in congratulating DossierView and Tyromer.  We look forward to hearing about more AC companies finalizing due diligence and landing critical capital to grow.
